Here's a great infographic via Kars4Kids on the history of Earth Day.

Very inspiring project called Totem by  photographer Alain Delorme. It investigates our fast paced economy, globalization and consumerism as the migrants carrying mind-blowing amounts of stuff are there as a stand in for global consumerism at large. If these photos look impossible it is because they have been digitally manipulated.
